Prom Closed due to Ongoing Incident
There is no timescale on when the road will reopen
A section of Douglas promenade is closed tonight due to an incident outside the Palace Hotel.
Police have closed the road outside the hotel between the Castlemona shops and Palace View Terrace.
There has been no official word from the police at this time, but Isle of Man Transport has posted to advise about bus diversions.
It said: ‘A section of Queens Promenade (The Palace Hotel area) is closed to all traffic at present.
Buses (northbound) will divert from Broadway via Victoria Road, Blackberry Lane, Summerhill, Derbycastle to Port Jack and vice versa until the road reopens. Update to follow.’
The prom walkway remains open.
