‘What Are Your Kids Doing Tonight?’

It’s Hop Tu Naa!

The island’s children are all set to don their spookiest costumes and go door-to-door collecting sweets.

But police are urging parents to pause for a moment and ask: ‘What are your kids doing tonight?’

The Police Early Action Team has warned that while ‘trick or treating’ can be great fun, it can also go horribly wrong.

‘Trick or treating can be terrifying, for the wrong reasons,’ the team said.

They highlighted that anti-social behaviour such as vandalism, intimidation, and excessive noise can spoil the night for others, particularly the elderly, vulnerable, and those who live alone.

Police are encouraging parents to be aware and involved. Chat with your children, know their plans, and make sure they understand the difference between spooky fun and behaviour that could harm or frighten others.
