Dandara Submits Plans for 92 Homes in West

Dandara has submitted plans to build 92 homes on the outskirts of Peel.

The application (24/00055/B) is for land adjacent To Castle View Nursing Home, Glenfaba Rise And Peel Golf Course and includes redevelopment of the Ballaterson Farm.

With a mixture of two, three, four and five-bed houses proposed, the developed said that 25% of the houses (23) will be first time buyer homes

Dandara also plans to rebuild the Ballaterson Farmhouse and convert its surrounding outbuild into holiday cottages to provide tourist accommodation.

Access to the estate would be via the existing Glenfaba Road. On entering Glenfaba Rise , a new road link will take traffic directly towards the proposed development and the views towards the hills behind Peel Golf Course will be immediately apparent. The houses are arranged to face onto the residential streets within the development. 

The existing farm lane will continue to serve the replacement farmhouse only.

Plans also include two areas of open space.

The application is currently being referred to the Council of Ministers for consideration as to whether or not they call it in for their determination under Section 11(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1999.
