Day Out

Kids go FREE with an adult to the Crossroads Easter family fun event this Thursday and Friday.

One child will pay no admission to the Wildlife Park per one paying adult! (one paying adult = one free child admission, 2 paying adults = 2 free child admission).

Activities will take place in the marquee area (so if it is a bit damp that’s the place to head!), Trains will run on the Thursday (but not Friday), animal talk and feed times and a free bouncy castle – but that is subject to it staying dry!

New Jobs

Two MLCs have been appointed to roles with gov departments. Dawn Kinnish MLC will join the DoI after selection to LegCo last month. Paul Craine MLC, who was chosen for a further five years, will join the DESC. A further political appointment will see Ann Corlett MHK take up the role of vice-chair of the Housing and Communities

CyberIsle

CyberIsle, the Islands premier cyber security conference, will return for its fifth year on October 4 2023 with industry experts and local businesses invited to take part in the panels, discussions and workshops.

The sharing of their knowledge, insights and best practices on the latest trends and challenges in their fields is key to ensuring attendees get the most value from the conference.

For 2023 the four main themes of the conference will be cyber threat trends, protecting data, best practice for dealing with fraud and responding to a cyber-attack.

• Cyber threats and trends: The latest threats facing businesses and individuals, and how to stay ahead of them
• Keeping data safe: Strategies for protecting personal and sensitive information in an increasingly interconnected world
• Cybercrime and fraud: Best practices for identifying, preventing, responding to types of fraud
• Incident response: Ensuring organisations are best equipped to respond to a cyber-attack and how to recover
