Deputy Lyndon Trott was chief minister in 2008-2012

Guernsey has turned to a former chief minister to lead a new government after a vote of no confidence this morning.
A motion of no confidence was passed after Guernsey’s Policy and Resources (P&R) Committee failed to get its plans for tax reform approved by the States, with deputies voting by 23 to 16.
Deputy Peter Ferbrache, who was president of the P&R committee, in effect chief minister, has now been replaced by Deputy Lyndon Trott.
Mr Trott has served in the States since 2000, including as Treasury Minister from 2004-2008 and as Chief Minister from 2008-2012.
