Think you could take a frame off a former world champion? Well now you have your chance.
Douglas Snooker Bar is to welcome 11 time major winner and 2005 world champion Shaun Murphy later this year.
A popular player on the circuit, Shaun has recorded over 600 centuries and was the runner up in the 2021 world final, losing out to Mark Selby.
The event is on Saturday July 1 and while the event has a standard entry of £35, there is also the chance to play a frame against Shaun, while VIP entry will include a meet and greet.
Speaking to Gef about the event, club owner Greg Cowell said he thinks it is ‘great for all cue sports, pool included,’ to welcome as big a name to the island.
He added: ‘To see a player play such a difficult sport at such a high level is always a pleasure. No matter what the sport. Hopefully some young aspiring talents can learn a few things and encourage them to put the hard effort in.’
