Ravens Take Flight

FC Isle of Man travel to Kendal Town this weekend, with Paul Jones’ men looking to break their duck for 2023.

The Ravens have lost all four games since the turn of the year, with Jones hoping his team can shake its January blues.

While Sean Doyle’s comeback was cut short last week and Ryan Burns also went off injured, Jones’ squad has been bolstered by the returns of Furo Davies and Charlie Higgins.

Last week also saw the return of Mikey Williams and Jack McVey complete his first 90 minutes in a Ravens shirt and both make the squad.

Looking around the squad, Ben Wilkinson keeps his place between the sticks. He has been unfortunate to come into a side lacking in form and confidence and he has played well in the two games he has played in since James Rice’s injury.

As for Kendal, the last time the sides met, they ran out 3-1 winners. Since that game, they’ve won two, lost two and drawn one.

Looking at the table, FC Isle of Man can be somewhat buoyed by the news that fellow relegation threatened Burscough lost in midweek and Jones’ side now have a game in over the second bottom side, who they remain four points clear of, meaning a win on Saturday would be a major boost towards Premier Division survival.

The game kicks off at 1pm on Saturday and FC Isle of Man will be sharing updates throughout the game on social media. Gef will be sharing updates of the starting VI, as well as half-time and full-time.
