DoI Fixes Mountain Hole
There is currently no need to close the road.
The DoI has been quick to fix a small depression reported on the mountain road tonight.
The police have also been in attendance.
In a comment on its original post on Facebook, the DoI said the hole, which is roughly a mile from the Douglas side of Guthries, was ‘like a sinkhole, normally caused by an underground culvert or water channel collapsing’.
Just before 6.45pm it said it had completed the repairs without needing to close the road.
