Jetting off in Style
The flight takes about three hours
This morning saw the first direct flight between the island and Malaga, with Ronaldsway staff turning out to send the passengers off in style.
The roughly three hour flight is the latest direct flight from Ronaldsway to Europe, but the first to Malaga.
Flights go every Saturday from now until June, with more planned for the autumn.
Ronaldsway’s head of commercial Hannah Lo Bao said: ‘It’s all about giving you more choice when it comes to holidays this summer, so if you’re interested in jetting off for some Spanish sun, flights depart every Saturday from April 8 to June 3 including half-term and TT weeks, and then back again for the Autumn.’
As with the Majorca programme, the route will be operated by BA City Flyer, a subsidiary of BA using the Embraer 190 jet.
