Ronaldsway Soars to 17th Best British Airport (Yes, Really)

The Isle of Man Airport has been ranked the 17th best in Britain by the Telegraph.

And yes, we are aware that the Isle of Man isn’t actually in Britain, but the friendly folk at Telegraph Travel have thrown us in their yearly rankings.

Ronaldsway scored 729 out of 1,000, flying in ahead of the likes of Belfast International, Bristol and even Stansted.

The study looked at everything from punctuality and cancellations to parking charges and Google reviews.

Ronaldsway landed mid-table for on-time flights, 68.6% last year with an average 20-minute delay, and did well on value, with free terminal drop-off and a weekly parking rate of £50.

All this comes as the airport’s latest ‘glow-up’ nears completion.

New carpets, redecorated gates, and almost 300 shiny new seats (including high-tops and dining-style spots by Costa) are being rolled out after passenger feedback.

So while Liverpool John Lennon, Belfast City and London City airports nabbed the top three spots, Ronaldsway can still proudly say it’s beaten a few big hitters.

And with new seats, maybe even sitting around waiting for your delayed flight won’t be too bad.
