All Tesco Stores Are Now Open – But Which One Is Your Favourite? VOTE NOW

The wait is over – with the former Winerite on Victoria Road officially opening its doors as a Tesco on Thursday, all of the Isle of Man Tesco stores are now fully operational.

That’s right, the big takeover is complete.

No more wandering into Shoprite out of habit, only to be confused when you see Tesco branding everywhere.

Tesco’s acquisition of Shoprite, announced back in October 2023, brought an end to Shoprite’s 51-year reign on the island’s retail scene.

The move wasn’t met with cheers from everyone – some people are still adjusting to the absence of that familiar yellow logo (and seriously WHERE ARE THE MANX SPUDS?!).

But for others, it’s been an excuse to get out and explore all the new Tesco stores.

In fact, Gef has noticed a certain dedicated individual doing just that – we’ve spotted the same woman at five of the Tesco openings, enthusiastically collecting her free goodie bags and having a proper nosy around the aisles.

During the transition period, the stores kept trading under the Shoprite banner, but now, it’s full Tesco mode.

Fresh signage, Clubcard deals galore, and self-checkouts that either work perfectly or have you waving at the assistant every two seconds.

So, with all ten Tesco stores up and running – including the OG Lake Road store that was Tesco long before it was cool – we’ve got one burning question for the great Manx public:

Which Isle of Man Tesco Store Is Your Favourite?
