Alright yessirs!
Another month gone, September will be here tomorrow and shops are resisting the urge to get the Christmas stock out.
But before we leave August behind, here’s what you’ve been reading this month.
Up first, what else could it be other than our take on the outrage of islanders as the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company had the barefaced cheek to be selling tickets! Could you believe it?
Our second most read of the month also featured the Steam Packet as Everton manager Sean Dyche took a break from firefighting the Premier League’s most ridiculous club to play a captain for the Manxman’s new safety video.
Our trip to meet the new team behind the Ginger Hall was our third most read as Tom Curphey sat down with Anya and Mark Evans to discuss the taking on the Ginge.
The approval of more than 300 homes on land East of Braddan Road also caught many readers’ eyes, the reaction to this was pretty strong too.
A late entry into the top five, but just missing out on Champions League (one for the footy fans), the Steam Packet looking into a picture of three bikes falling over that has raised questions about how it handles motorbike on the Manxman.
After a fire tore through Africa House, many of you were interested to hear that a man had been arrested on suspicion of arson. We’ve not had any update since then other than he was released on bail while investigations continued.
We can’t end on a note like that however, completing our month’s most read was the brilliant story of Ivan Soulsbury donating £1m to Hospice, absolute legend!
