David Tennant and Michael Sheen brought this hilarious show to our screens during the height of the pandemic. Starring as themselves, these two bickering actors try to make a drama out of a crisis. But are their egos too fragile to survive working from home?

These two are always fantastic together, making a seemingly dull concept of watching two people on a Zoom call actually funny and exciting. It definitely helped ease the pain of lockdown when it first came out, entertaining the masses.

Queen of Oz

Another Doctor Who star now. Catherine Tate is Princess Georgiana, a disgraced British royal banished to live and rule in Australia.

Known for partying hard, Georgiana is dragged kicking and screaming into her new lifestyle. A series of gaffes, confusions, and cringe-inducing moments ensues in this new BBC comedy, co-written by Tate and Jeff Gutheim. 

As usual, Tate is brilliant and this is well worth a watch. It’s on BBC iPlayer.

Halt and Catch Fire

In the midst of the digital revolution, an unlikely trio take personal and professional risks in the race to build a personal computer. In this critically acclaimed drama based in the 1980’s, the spirit of innovation is about to catch fire. The visionary, the engineer and the prodigy collaborate on this rogue project.

It stars Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy.

The Walking Dead

Yes, I know it massively dipped and people lost interest, but with the arrival of The Walking Dead: Dead City I thought now would be the perfect time to talk about this show.

My one and only point here really is: give it a try, because those first three seasons are immaculate in my eyes. In fact, up until the start of season six is The Walking Dead‘s real golden era in television. I could debate on where this show really fell off for years as it’s something highly contested among fans, but for a while there, it’s really fantastic and gripping and everything you’d want a show of this calibre to be.

Andrew Lincoln delivers the performance of a lifetime across the seasons, alongside Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira and many more.
